The City of Lubbock, Community Development is seeking bids from qualified vendors for a major rehabilitation to a single family residential home repair/remodel. Questions Due Date: Sep 12th 2025, 5:00 PM CDT LICENSED CONTRACTOR AND/OR LICENSED SUBCONTRACTOR MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. LICENSED CONTRACTOR AND/OR LICENSED SUBCONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR APPLYING ALL CURRENT CITY OF LUBBOCK ORDINANCES AND CODE REQUIREMENTS, APPLICIBLE TO THIS SCOPE OF WORK. THIS INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND ON THE CITY OF LUBBOCK WEBSITE FOR BUILDING SAFETY DEPARTMENT, ORDINANCES AND CODES. LICENSED CONTRACTOR AND/OR LICENSED SUBCONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AND SUBMITTING ALL REQUIRED CITY OF LUBBOCK PERMITS AND FEES PAID, APPLICABLE TO THIS SCOPE OF WORK. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR MUST NOTIFY AND PROVIDE A COPY TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT HOUSING INSPECTOR OF EACH ISSUED PERMIT AND PERMIT FINAL APPROVAL PROHIBITED PAINTING TECHNIQUES INCLUDE:1. Open flame burning or torching. 2. Abrasive blasting without high efficiency (HEPA) vacuum. 3. Machine sanding or grinding without HEPA vacuum. 4. Heat guns at temperatures above 1100 degrees (f). 5. Dry scraping (wet scraping should be used except near electrical outlets). 6. Paint stripping in poorly ventilated areas or using hazardous substances.
