A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Village of Biscayne Park is requesting proposals from experienced paving contractors to provide milling, resurfacing, and striping improvements. Pursuant to 119.071, Florida Statutes, sealed bids, proposals, or replies are exempt from public inspection until the Village issues a notice of intended decision or within thirty (30) days after opening, whichever is earlier. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, with or without cause, to waive technicalities and informalities, and to accept the proposal that best serves the interests of the Village. SCOPE OF SERVICES The selected Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete asphalt resurfacing improvements near the Village Hall and around the Village Historic Log Cabin. Area approximately depicted in purple: Services shall generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Milling & Removal o Cold milling of existing asphalt pavement (approx. 1,600 square yards). o Removal and proper disposal of all milled material. Asphalt Paving o Application of tack coat to promote adhesion. o Placement of asphalt hot mix (approx. 1.5" thickness) over the prepared surface. o Rolling and compaction of the new asphalt surface using vibratory rollers to achieve proper density. Striping & Pavement Markings o Layout and installation of thermoplastic striping in accordance with FDOT standards. o Striping to include parking stalls, handicap spaces, directional markings, and crosshatching as designated by the Village. o Installation of raised pavement markers (RPMs) with traffic-grade adhesive. Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) o Preparation and implementation of MOT plans in accordance with FDOT and MUTCD standards. o Provision of all required traffic control devices, including but not limited to, barricades, cones, caution tape, signage, and arrow boards. o Lane closure mobilizations to safely complete work within the right-of-way
