Written questions must be submitted online by posting to this project through the Q&A function of website, The final date for questions from potential bidders is January 24, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Installation of approximately 6000 SY of concrete sidewalk and curb ramps, combined; relocating 13 small road sign assemblies; and approximately 3100 SY of topsoil and sod including vegetative watering. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner within fifteen (15) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to the Village of Salado in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds, and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Contractors for this project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents. Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The Village of Salado reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days from the date on which bids are opened. Note that a 2% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal has been set by the Texas Department of Transportation on this project.
