Q&A Deadline 09/12/2025 2:00 PM (PDT) Scope of Services The City of Richmond ("City") is seeking to establish a list of qualified firms to provide on-call Plan Check and Inspection Services for its Fire Prevention Services Division. These firms will assist the Fire Department ("Department") with a broad range of plan check and inspection tasks to ensure compliance with, but not limited to, the following code and standards: o California Building Standards Code o California Fire Code o American Petroleum Institute Standards o American National Standards Institute o California Mechanical Code o California Electrical Code o National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards o Any codes or standards that have been adopted, amended and/or enforced by the City of Richmond It is the intent of the City to select up to three (3) qualified consultants for these as-needed services. The City will assign work to any of the firms as deemed necessary and appropriate and will consider the qualifications to provide all or just a part of the services identified in this RFQ. Once a selection is made, the consultants will be placed on the official list of qualified on-call consultants, which will be called upon to provide professional building plan check and inspection services to the City on an as-needed, project-by-project basis. The On-Call list will be maintained for a period of three (3) years and two (2) one-year option to extend by means of a mutual agreement from both parties.
