Site work for a municipal facility in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

The MD of Opportunity (MDO) is seeking proposals from interested proponents for footing and RTM piling removal and disposal services in the area of Chipeywan Lake affected by the Red Earth Creek Complex Fires on May 29, 2025. This work includes removal and capping of RTM pilings as well as the removal of footings. Please see Appendix A for the site map and master list of properties requiring piling and footing removal. The goal is to improve site safety and cleanliness. This work will be completed on a CCDC 5B - Stipulated Price Contract. Question Deadline 09/12/2025 at 2:00 PM MT Deadlines for questions to be submitted kimball.newberry@mdopportunity.ab.ca 1) Cut and cap RTM pilings to a depth of 2 feet below grade on twelve (12) properties. 2) Remove and dispose of concrete footings on seven (7) properties. 3) Supply, place, and compact structural backfill within remedial excavation areas to restore grade. 4) Collect, transport, and dispose of all associated metal and debris at the Wabasca Landfill in accordance with disposal requirements. 5) Contractor shall assure that all loads are properly secured, tarped, and transported without threat of harm to the general public, private property and public infrastructure. 6) The Contractor shall maintain disposal records and documentation. Contractor shall provide daily progress reports. 7) The Contractor understands and agrees to complete the scope of work in the most expeditious manner possible is of the utmost importance and will make every effort to complete all requirements of the Contract in the shortest time possible. 8) Contractor acknowledges, represents, and warrants to the MDO that it is familiar with all laws relating to disposal of the materials as stated herein and is familiar with and will comply with all guidelines, requirements, laws, regulations, and local authorities. 9) During the course of the work, roads and streets shall be open to through traffic. Local access for residents and emergency vehicles must be maintained at all times. Emergency vehicles must be accommodated to pass through the construction site as needed.
