Qualified firms shall be able to provide assistance to MSD staff as necessary for projects at our Water Quality Treatment Centers (WQTCs) and Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs). Projects will be identified as needed by MSD, based on projects with an estimated professional service fee of less than $1 million. Individual project scopes may include, but are not limited to the following: i. Evaluation, rehabilitation, improvement, and/or modification of the WQTCs and WWTPs; ii. Structural, electrical, mechanical, and/or utility evaluation, improvement, or modification at any of the WQTCs and WWTPs; iii. Specialized services such as planning, surveying, odor control, mold or asbestos abatement, HVAC, and roofing; iv. Supplementation of MSD Engineering Project Managers; v. Construction management services; Examples of projects that may require professional services include: • Planning an expansion for an existing regional plant • Replacement of clarifier mechanisms • Structural repairs to a sludge pump station • New regulatory requirements for treatment plants • Plant process automations • Retrofit an odor control system • Study methods to improve energy conservation • Specify roof replacement materials • Identify sources of asbestos prior to disturbance MSD will retain information on the pre-qualified firms who obtain a minimum score of 70 out of 100 maximum points as identified by the Procurement Committee. The firms’ SOQs will be maintained by MSD for five (5) years starting at the date of selection of the qualified firms as declared by MSD.
