Silvera for Seniors (or Silvera) is one of Calgary's largest providers of seniors housing. With 36 facilities in all quadrants of the City, Silvera has an expanse unlike any other senior housing provider. There are two (2) Lodges in Silvera's portfolio that it both owns and operates. These Lodge facilities provide rental accommodation to seniors age 65+. Tenants in the Lodges are also provided with three meals a day, housekeeping services, and recreational services. Silvera owns and operates a series of seniors living facilities separate from the Lodges listed above. The majority of these buildings are seniors independent living rental apartments, with one of the facilities being a seniors supportive living building. These facilities range in age from 10-20+ years old. The purpose of this Request For Proposal (RFP) is to put out a formal request to the public / industry for proposals to prepare Building Condition Assessments (BCAs) for the 7 properties listed in Tables 1 & 2 above. Proponents are allowed to propose a team of sub-consultants to carry out the scope of work. In this sense, Proponents would be considered a form of prime consultant.
