Miami-Dade County is soliciting interested contractors to register to participate and perform in Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) Bids under the MCC 7040 & 7360 Plan projects. Contractual Opportunities are continuously available for all businesses located in Miami-Dade who are interested in doing business with the County. The types of contracts available under the MCC Program are construction projects, facility repairs, neighborhood improvements, emergency repairs and maintenance work with a maximum value of $5.0M; ORD 09-101. All capital departments are participating. Additional opportunities are available through Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which enables low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings by families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry. Measures to make homes more energy efficient include: replacement or installation of key components, installation of energy recovery ventilation systems including bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans and installation of whole mechanical exhaust systems to provide better indoor air quality, install attic insulation, install window solar films, repair or replace inefficient cooling units, repair or replace water heaters and address air infiltration with weather stripping, caulking thresholds, minor wall repairs, ceiling and floors, windows and doors. License Requirements - At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and Contract Documents, the Bidder and all its subcontractor must hold a valid, current, and active State and/or Miami-Dade County contractor's license consistent with the requirements of the Scope of Work Temporary Trailer at Station 83 Phase 2 LICENSE REQUIREMENT: General Building Contractor SCOPE OF WORK: Phase 2 ONLY The work, in general consists of but not limited to the following: For the purposes of this RPQ, the scope of work that follows is strictly limited to Phase 2, herein noted on the provided site plan and accompanied drawings. Contractor is to exclude all work pertaining to the temporary trailer (N.I.C.). All other items on the plans/specifications are to be included. No other work is to be included in this proposal. Layout of Work: The work, in general consists of cut, removal and dispose of existing Asphalt at designated areas as needed to accommodate new concrete slabs for Steel Containers. Make reference to the project contract drawings for site locations and details. Fire Station #83- located at 8141 NW 80th street, Miami, Fl. 33166. New Gable Canvas Apparatus Awning. (Refer to plans for location and details). GC to provide shop drawings for approval prior to fabrication. Canopies are to be inclusive of all asphalt cutting/patching, compaction, engineering calculations, necessary shop drawings, and engineer designed footings required for the structures. Furnish and Install (3) new insulated roof canopies (refer to site plan for locations). Canopies are to be inclusive of all asphalt cutting/patching, compaction, engineering calculations, necessary shop drawings, and engineer designed footings required for the structures. Contractor is to refer to plans for approximate minimum dimensions to accommodate MDFR Fire Engine Vehicles. Color it TBD. GC to provide MDFR PM a color palate prior to purchase and fabrication for approval. HVAC, electrical, Note, window(s) and doors on the containers must have NOAs and have Miami Dade county product approval. Compaction testing and termite treatment to the new slab is by contractor. Additional work includes, but not limited to: Electrical - Contractor to provide and install All Electrical work including low-voltage associated with the proposed project contract drawings. Contractor shall be familiar with the project contract drawings as well as the project site. All Electrical installation work shall comply and meet All standard requirements of the NEC, FBC, and any other applicable Federal, State and local codes, such as local electric utility and telephone company. Plumbing/Piping - Contractor to provide and install All Plumbing/sewer work associated with the approved project drawings. The contractor shall be familiar with the project contract drawings as well as the project site. Plumbing Installation work shall comply and meet all standard requirements of the NFPA, IFGC and NFGC.
