PWGSC and the client, Correctional Service Canada (CSC), require bathroom renovations at Grand Valley Institution. The work comprises renovation of bathrooms for 14 living units located at the Grand Valley Institution for Women in Kitchener, Ontario. Each living unit includes 2 bathrooms, one on the 1st floor and one on the 2nd floor. These renovations will include the mechanical and electrical rooms more specifically stated in the work below. The scope of work for each bathroom includes, but is not limited to: Removing existing fixtures and finishes; Remediating mould and any other designated substances or hazardous materials; Insulating walls and ceilings and installing new drywall/flooring; Installing new millwork; Installing new plumbing fixtures and accessories; Removing and installing new light fixtures; Removing and installing new electrical receptacles; Removing and installing new light/fan switches; Removing and installing new remote head light; Installing new grille and registers; Painting all interior wall and ceiling surfaces; and Installing new HRV switch. The scope of work for each mechanical room includes, but is not limited to: Remediating mould and any other designated substances or hazardous materials; Insulating walls and installing new drywall/flooring; Removing and re-installing mechanical equipment; Removing and re-installing light fixture; Removing and re-installing electrical connections; Removing and re-installing electrical connections for mechanical equipment; Removing and re-installing fire alarm pull stations; Removing and re-installing sprinkler flow switch; Refinishing where remediation work is required; Painting all interior wall and ceiling surfaces; Remove and replace grille; Installation of floor drain; and Installation of drain pan for hot water tank.
