As of 9/24/2025 the project has been cancelled. The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to seek the service of a qualified contractor to remove and replace the Varsity Baseball (2) dugouts as indicated in the contract documents. Dimension and design of new dugout will match existing. Any permits required will be the responsibility of the awarded General Contractor. The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. The district further reserves the right to award the contract to that proposer whose proposal best complies with the project requirements. Proposers may not withdraw their proposal for a period of ninety (90) days from the date set for the opening thereof. The Bullock Creek School District is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) to enter into a contract with a General Contractor to remove the existing Varsity Baseball Dugouts and install new concrete block dugouts, concrete base and step as well as a new frame roofwith shingles as described in the attached documents. Inquiries should be made no later than 3 days before Proposal Closing Time. 1. This is a one Contractor, General Trades construction package project. 2. Fencing will be removed by the district in advance of demolition and construction of the existing/new dugouts. 3. Demo all concrete slab and footings associated with the existing dugouts. 4. Contractor is responsible for the removal from the site of all demolition materials. 5. Prep the sub grade to receive the new structural footing, block wall, concrete slab, concrete stairs for both dugouts. Install 16" gravel base below the concrete floor and run to a crock outside the field area. Water must then be pumped to the nearest catch basin by the Maintenance garage. 2-48" trench drains in each dugout. Run 4" SDR pipe between the dugouts and 6" to the crock. 6. Form and install the concrete footing to accept the 8" block walls. 13 rows of block on the rear dugout wall with 24" returns on each side. 6 rows of block for the bench seat front edge, 8 rows of block on each side approximately 48" long. Fill block cores to add strength. Pour 4" thick floor the length of the dugout, the floor area must slope appropriately so no water will flow to the drains. Ensure drainage is set up properly to allow water to not pool in the dugouts. 3 steps are to be formed and poured to match existing. Add rebar for support. 7. Remove forms and top-dress edges with top soil and grass seed to areas adjacent to the field. Provide complete finish. Final landscaping and grass repair on the ball field, as well as fence replacement will be provided by the District. Sand backfill along the back wall of the dugouts. 8. Once the concrete has set, install new dugouts and roof. 6 metal posts for each dugout with 9 1/2 " 2 ply LVL headers, 2 X 8 rafters 16" OC and 2 X 8 treated sill plate to anchor rafters with straps. Use 2 X 8 subfascia to cover rafter ends. Block rafters above treated sill plate to block pests. 5/8" treated plywood for roof decking. Metal shelf supports bolted in to block wall in a similar location, approximately 35LF in each dugout. 9. Use LP Smartside (or comparable product) prefinished flack fascia, header wraps, shelf. 10. Install benches and bat storage cabinet in the dugout to match existing 11. Asphalt roofing over continuous ice and water membrane with black aluminum drip edge 12. Final paint of the dugout block walls will be provided by the district. 13. Fencing will be installed by the owner. 14. Add 1 electrical receptacle at each end of each dugout.
