Demolition and site work for a day care center in Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a day care center; and for site work for a day care center.

Question Deadline 09/11/2025 Questions pertaining to this bid must be directed to: Stephen R. McDonald in writing via e-mail at: MCDONALDS@worcesterma.gov. Any prospective bidder requesting a change in or interpretation of existing specifications of terms and conditions must do so within five (5) days (Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays excluded) BEFORE scheduled bid opening date. furnish and deliver all labour and materials needed for demolition of a modular unit at the Mill swan school per the specifications of the city of Worcester public schools. The scope of work for this project consists of demolishing the existing modular buildings attached to the rear of Mill Swan School 337 Mill St Worcester Ma 01602. Project deadline for full completion is to be November15th, 2025. 1. Furnish City of Worcester demolition, and all other necessary permits 2. Provide protection to existing concrete walkways/sidewalks to avoid damage from equipment 3. Provide temporary protection to existing doors to the main school building. 4. Demolish and dispose of (2) roof top air handling units and re-capture refrigerant. 5. Demolish and dispose of existing temp building structure including wooden ramp to structure. 6. Remove all demolished debris from site and provide hauling to legal dumping facility. 7. Demolish and remove any existing piers to 6" below grade. 8. Rough grade disturbed areas from equipment used to execute demolition under this scope of work. o All excavation/demolition activity shall be protected within the limit of disturbance using 6' high chainlink fence temporarily installed and secured daily during the extent of the project. All equipment, tools, materials, and stockpiled to be always stored within the limit of disturbance. o Construction activity shall be performed in a safe, harmless manner, not to affect flow of traffic, safety of all students and faculty, and not to disturb or interfere with safety protocol typically practiced by school facility, fire dept, police dept, and any other safety or rescue personnel. o Work may be performed between the hours of 7:00 am and 9:00 pm, Monday thru Saturday. Work at other times may be approved by the owner at their discretion. o No deliveries of equipment and materials shall be executed during student drop-off (7:30 - 8:30 am) and pick up (1:30 - 2:30 pm). o Any necessary abatement to be performed by others before issuance of contract. WPS will furnish hazardous materials information, if applicable, to the winning low bidder. o WPS to perform all disconnections of water, sewer and electrical services from main building. o All excavation work is to be performed by operators with a valid Massachusetts hoisting license. o All employees on site must have completed at least the OSHA 10 Safety Training Course. o Hardhats and any other PPE to be always worn by construction team and visiting personnel. o All existing concrete, including any found under Modular Units, is to remain in place. o All materials removed from site under this scope of work, including metal, wood, roofing materials and any other debris generated by demolition activities are to be owned by the contractor, regardless of value. o Contractor to supply their own water and dust mitigation measures Complete original copy (including all required pages) of this bid must be submitted in a Sealed envelope: mark envelope "Bid no. 8540-m6, demolition of modular unit, mill swan school / wps" A certified check or bid bond made payable to the "City treasurer, city of worcester" in the amount of $ none must Accompany this bid.
