This Request for Pre-qualification process is intended to solicit responses from Consultants interested in conducting building envelope investigations, recommend repairs / replacements, provide budgets, prepare tender documents, and inspect work for York Region District School Board (YRDSB). This Pre-qualification is been broken into three (3) areas: o Roof Investigation and replacements o Wall Investigations and repairs or renovations o Window investigations and replacements Consultants may submit proposals for one or all areas. Building Envelope Consultants who do not participate in this Pre-qualification process and who are not subsequently approved will be excluded from bid opportunities during the term of this Pre-qualification. Note: Building Envelope Consultants who have been previously pre-qualified or who are currently performing work for the Board must also respond to this request. Consultants who do not participate in this Pre-qualification process and who are not subsequently approved will be excluded from bid opportunities during the term of this Pre-qualification. The successful Applicant will be entering into a Pre-qualification term of three years. Pre-Qualification will ensure that successful firms will receive Requests for Tender, Requests for Quotation and Requests for Proposal for the period of January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028. Please note: commencement date is an estimate only. Actual dates may differ. Please note that the Board reserves the right to rotate the participation of all pre-qualifying Consultants for both small and large dollar bids based on capacity and capability of the Consultant. Please be informed that mere Pre-qualification will not impose any obligation on York Region District School Board to actually call upon any pre-qualified Consultant to perform a project or any other service.
