Construction of a Bituminous Patching on Provincial Access Road 624 (High Bluff Access Road), from Provincial Trunk Highway 26 to 2.9 km North of Provincial Trunk Highway 26 for a total construction distance of 2.9km in the Rural Municipality of Portage La Prairie. Completion Model The Contract Will Be Assessed Liquidated Damages in Accordance With the Specification for Liquidated Damages - Completion Specified by Completion Date. Liquidated Damages The Work Must Be Completed by No Later Than October 15, 2025. Daily Liquidated Damages After This Specified Completion Date Will Be Charged to the Contractor at the Rate of Two Thousand ($2000.00) Dollars Per Calendar Day Until the Work is Completed. Notwithstanding the Specification for Liquidated Damages, Liquidated Damages Will Be Assessed for Every Calendar Day (Including During Spring Road Restrictions and Fish Spawning Restrictions) That the Contractor Has Not Completed the Work After the Completion Date. In Addition to the Daily Liquidated Damages, a Lump Sum Liquidated Damage of Twenty Five Thousand ($25,000.00) Dollars Will Be Charged to the Contractor if the Work is Not Completed by October 24, 2025. In Addition the Lump Sum Liquidated Damages Will Be Charged to the Contractor on a Recurrent Annual Basis Until Substantial Completion. The Assessment of the Lump Sum Liquidated Damage for the Completion of the Work Will Decrease in Direct Proportion to the Value of the Work Completed Relative to the Actual Final Total Value of All the Work if the Work is Incomplete. The Work Shall Be Defined as All Work, Not Including Contingency. Seasonal Shutdown Date The Seasonal Shutdown Date for This Project is: October 31st of Any Calendar Year.
