Rehabilitation of a dyke at the former Preissac A mine facility. TIMELINE: Process of the Request for proposals for engineering services to complete design and monitor construction work has closed. Deposited proposals are under review. Award is anticipated in February/early March, 2026. Further update at that time. Notes: - The former Preissac A mining site is located in the administrative region of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, in the territory of the municipality of Preissac (Quebec), approximately 11 km north of the intersection of routes 117 and 395. - The SGSMA is responsible for the upkeep of mining sites for which the State is responsible. In particular, the SGSMA is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure on these sites does not pose a risk to public safety or the environment.
