HFLCEO250323PR The project involves rehabilitating Blue Lake Road (CR 258), CR 64, and Campground Road within the Warner Mountain Ranger District of the Modoc National Forest to improve safety and access to recreational facilities at Blue Lake. Work includes addressing rockfall and slope failure hazards at two locations on CR 64, located 4.6 miles and 8 miles east of Likely, California. Rehabilitation of CR 258 spans 6.6 miles from the intersection with CR 64 near the Pit River bridge to Campground Road, followed by 1.5 miles southwest to the campground loop at Blue Lake. Scope of work includes pulverizing and asphalt surfacing, reconstruction of short segments, rockfall hazard mitigation, and drainage improvements. Roadway widths will be maintained at 20 and 22 on CR 258 and CR 64, and preserved on Campground Road. All work will remain within the existing road prism and maintained roadside ditch, except where guardrail and culvert replacements are necessary. Additional tasks include minor horizontal and profile adjustments, subexcavation, ditch reconditioning, erosion control, signage installation, and pavement markings. The price range of the project work is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000.
