Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,200-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
This project includes the full construction and installation of a 30' x 40' prefabricated metal garage structure on a monolithic turn-down slab foundation. Work includes site prep, foundation work, metal building erection, and final finishing. A. Site Preparation o Perform pre-construction site assessment and layout. o Clear and grub the area (vegetation, topsoil, debris). o Rough grade to ensure proper drainage and level pad. o Mark layout per engineered foundation plan. B. Excavation & Foundation - Turn-Down Slab o Excavate perimeter trench for turn-down edge (typically 12-24" deep x 12-18" wide). o Form and brace slab perimeter to exact dimensions (30' x 40'). o Install vapor barrier (minimum 6-mil poly sheeting). o Place and tie steel reinforcement: o Continuous rebar in trench footing. o Rebar or welded wire mesh throughout slab field. o Install anchor bolts or embedded plates to match metal building requirements. o Pour monolithic concrete slab (4"-6" thick center, with thickened edges). o Use 3,000-4,000 PSI concrete with fiber mesh (optional). o Trowel and finish surface (broom or smooth per client request). o Allow concrete to cure per industry standards (7-28 days before building installation). C. Metal Garage Building - Delivery & Erection o Receive and inventory prefabricated steel building kit. o Erect structural steel frame (columns, rafters, purlins, girts). o Install wall and roof panels using manufacturer-supplied fasteners and closures. o Use 26 or 29-gauge steel panels with matching trim. o Installing all required bracing, support members, and hardware. o Installing insulation (if included in scope). o Install exterior doors: o One overhead/roll-up door gable side (20'X14'). o One overhead/roll-up door side closes to parking lot (10'X10') o One or more walk-through (personal) doors. o Install ridge cap, eave trim, corner trim, and weather seals. D. Electrical (Optional) o Rough-in and install conduit, boxes, and wiring. o Install breaker panel, lighting, switches, receptacles, and door openers. o (4) outlets, (2) light switches, (4) 8' LED strip lights inside. o (3) LED Flood lights on outside. o Connect existing utility sources or run service to building from existing service in parking lot. o Coordinate electrical inspection. E. Final Work & Cleanup o Backfill around foundation as needed and final grade site. o Install concrete aprons approach. o Remove construction debris and perform full site cleanup. o Final client walkthrough and punch list correction. o Provide documentation: warranties, manuals, as-built drawings. 3. Inclusions o Engineering drawings for slab and building. o Concrete materials, forming, reinforcement, and finish work. o Delivery and installation of prefabricated metal building. o All labor, equipment, and supervision. o Permitting, architectural/engineering services. o Utility fees and tap/connection fees. o Landscaping, fencing, or paving beyond immediate building pad. o Rock excavation or soil remediation Question Deadline 09/12/2025 Suppliers must direct all inquiries to online, Contact with any other party may result in rejection of your bid.
