The Halton Catholic District School Board invites profit and not-for-profit service providers to submit a proposal for a Child Care Centre & Before and After School Program (BASP) at the Board's new Milton #11 Catholic Elementary School located to the nearest intersection of Kennedy Circle East and Louis St Laurent Ave., Milton, Ontario. The successful proponent will be required to provide child care for a maximum of 88 children (5 room child care centre). The successful proponent will be required to provide before and after school care daily and P.A. day coverage for children from 3.8 years of age to 12. Dependent on demand, Proponents may be required to offer care during Christmas March break and Summer Breaks. This care will be offered in an alternate space(s) within the school. Before and After school program will operate with hours 7:00 am until school bell time and school bell time until 6:00 pm. Capital funding for the build of the childcare centre and the first-time equipping of furniture and equipment will be provided by HCDSB through the Ministry of Education. Approximately $175,000 has been allocated towards first-time equipping of furniture and equipment. The successful proponent will provide HCDSB with a list of required items to be purchased. Any future equipment needs beyond first-time equipping will be the responsibility of the successful proponent. Any consumables, learning supplies, and snacks will be the responsibility of the successful proponent. CWELCC funding has been approved for 88 spaces for this location to the successful operator of the child care centre and before and after school program. The Region of Halton cannot guarantee the provision of the annual General Operating Grant (GOG).
