Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Bethesda, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and multi-residential development.
The Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Rehabilitation Services (MSDE, DORS) is seeking to procure the services of a general contractor to perform home accessibility modifications and residential construction for a DORS consumer. All work needs to conform to the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) for Buildings and Facilities of 1990 as well as the new guidelines from 2010. Trade Codes and Local codes need to be adhered to, as well. Any conditions which produce doubt, on the part of the Contractor, to be able to comply with the ADAAG, shall be brought to the attention of DORS immediately. Required Documentation: As proof of meeting this requirement, the Bidder shall provide with its Bid a copy of the HBR and/or MHIC license at the time of bid submission. The Bidder shall provide evidence of possessing either the State of Maryland General Contractor License or Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) license, as of the date of bid submission. If Bidder is using subcontractors, a list of Subcontractors will need to be identified. A single contract will be awarded to the offeror that best meets the needs of the evaluation criteria. The anticipated term of the contract resulting from this solicitation shall begin and terminate based on the bid results. The Department reserves the right to reduce or withhold Contract payment in the event the Contractor does not provide the Department with all required deliverables within the time frame specified in the Contract or otherwise breaches the terms and conditions of the Contract until such time as the Contractor brings itself into full compliance with the Contract. The MSDE reserves the right to award contracts to multiple consultants for the services and materials required in this RFQ.
