Questions Due Date: September 24th at 4:00 PM. The Project consists of installation of new sanitary sewer facilities including but not limited to approximately 1,060 L.F. of gravity sanitary sewer main and associated laterals and manholes and 7,655 L.F. of Low Pressure Sewer main and associated laterals and manhole. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price. The following wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract: PA PREVAILING WAGES A Certified Check or Bank Draft payable to the order of CAN DO, INC. or a satisfactory Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. Attention is called to the fact that the PA Prevailing Wage Act is applicable this contract; Contractor must file Stipulation Against Liens prior to the start of construction; Contractor shall provide acceptable liability, property damage, and Worker's Compensation insurance and the Contractor must ensure that employees & applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap.
