Sealed proposals for a three year contract commencing November 1, 2025 through October 31, 2028 for the maintenance of street lighting and area lighting in the Village of Great Neck Plaza Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, equal to 5% of the first year bid or a bond with sufficient sureties in a similar amount, conditional that if the bidder's proposal is accepted, he will enter into a contract for such work and that he will furnish a performance bond with good and sufficient sureties and in form satisfactory to the Village Board of Trustees equal to the total sum of all work bid and guaranteeing the satisfactory completion of the contract. If the bidder whose proposal is accepted shall fail to enter into the required contract or shall fail to furnish such bond within 14 days after the proposal shall have been accepted, then the aforesaid certified check shall be forfeited as liquidated damages, or alternatively the bid bond proceeds shall be so retained. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Great Neck Plaza reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids not inconsistent with law or to reject all bids or to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Village.
