The Work of this Contract, designated S75-7- Granby Substation - Positive and Negative Feeders and Duct Bank Replacement, consists of: The supply of labour, equipment, excavation, and materials to construct an underground duct bank and associated works in accordance with the Contract Documents, including restoration of affected areas within the Construction Area, and safe removal and disposal of materials. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Construction hoarding, staging, and traffic control as indicated on Contract Drawings, in accordance with the Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) Book 7, and as directed by TTC. Pedestrian traffic shall be safely maintained at all times and must be separate from the construction area. Supply material and construct temporary accessways and remove after Contract Completion. Protect and support all surface facilities and structures at and near the Work areas during the course of the Contract. Utility Locates to identify any utility lines prior to any excavation Work. Conduct daylighting of utilities. Provide temporary dewatering pumps as required to maintain Work areas free of accumulation of water. Pumps shall include all discharge hoses and/or piping and silt control measures in accordance with the Contract Documents and requirements of TTC. Flushing and videotaping of existing drainage lines pre- and post-construction as indicated on Contract Drawings. Installation of a cast-in-place underground concrete duct bank and two (2) new cable chambers in accordance with the Contract Documents. Removal of two (2) trees within McGill Parkette and installation of two (2) new trees complete with soil cell system and associated landscape restoration. Designated Substances and Hazardous Materials Survey Report: Refer to the Designated Substances and Hazardous Materials Survey Report appended to the Contract Documents as Appendix 1 and as indicated in Sections 01 57 19 and 01 59 00 and prepare the Site for safe construction operations prior to engaging in other Work, as required by governing legislation.
