The Work of Street Paving With Type C Asphalt Overlay, Shall Be Done in Accordance With the Appropriate Section of the Odot Standard Specifications for Construction, Except as Modified Herein. The Contractor Shall Coordinate Work With the Town to Ensure That Residents Are Properly Notified of Work Schedule. The Town Will Send Advance Notices to Residences One Week Before Scheduled Work. The Contractor Shall Notify Residents One Day in Advance of Work by Flyer on the Front Door. The Flyer Must Not Have Solicitation for Work Language, Per Town Ordinance. The Contractor Provide for Any Necessary Repairs to the Streets Prior to the Overlay. 2. The Contractor Shall Locate His Own Stock Pile Areas and Equipment Storage Area. The Contractor Shall Ensure That All Structure Covers Are Protected From Construction Operations and Material. The Contractor Shall Clean Covers and Make Loose of Fresh Bituminous Mix Before Final Payment is Made. The Contractor Must Provide Minimum of One Self-propelled Pneumatic-tired Roller Weighing Minimum 8 Tons. The Contractor Must Provide Motorized Brooming Equipment, Capable of Cleaning the Road Surface Before Treatment and Removing Loose Articles After Treatment. All Piles of Loose Aggregates Shall Be Removed From the Street Before Moving Onto Another Street. 3. Localized Full Depth Repairs. The Contractor Will Measure the Quantities Necessary for Localized Full Depth Street Repairs, in Square Yards, and Thereafter Provide the Price Pursuant to the Unit Price. 4. Traffic Control All Work Shall Be Done in Accordance With Requirements of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, Except as Modified Herein. The Contractor is Advised That the Oklahoma Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, as Amended, is Hereby Established as Governing All Work in Connection With Traffic Control. This Item Shall Include All Work Necessary to Furnish, Erect, Maintain, and Upon Completion of Work Remove All Traffic Control Devices Within the Project Limits and Around the Perimeter of the Project. The Town Shall Approve Initial Installations, Before the Starting of Any Construction Operations and Periodically Inspect Said Signing, but the Responsibility Shall Rest Solely With the Contractor for Its Placement, Lighting, and General Maintenance. Walks, Driveways and Entrances to Buildings Shall Not Be Unnecessarily Blocked. The Completed Work as Measured for the Pay Item Traffic Control Will Be Measured and Paid for in Place by the Contract Unit Price Per Lump Sum Which Price Shall Be Payment in Full for All Labor, Materials, and Equipment Needed to Accomplish This Work. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of TOWN OF OKEENE, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid Plans and Specifications, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance, Maintenance and Statutory Payment Bonds. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding.
