Renovation of a municipal facility in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid. The Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Pacfic Forestry Centre requires the replacement, and construction of a new roof at the Pacific Forestry Centre. Work under this contract comprises, but is not limited to, the provision of all labour, materials, services and equipment for the roof replacement of A Wing, Pacific Forestry Centre at 506 Burnside Rd West, Victoria, BC. The roof area to be replaced is approximately 1,228 sq m on two levels of the A Wing – the penthouse floor at approximately 36 meters above grade and the penthouse roof at approximately 39.5 meters above grade. Replacement of roof on other portions of the main building and the storage building are not included in the solicitation. The work also includes modifications to existing mechanical and electrical systems, refurbishment of existing guard rail on new steel posts, roof access stairs and ladders, and new cooling tower. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost between $1,000,001.00 to $3,000,000.00.
