As of October 7, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on October 13, 2025 Furnishing all tools, materials and labor and performing the work necessary to construct street and water line improvements on 1st Street from Central Avenue to Grand Avenue in Ponca City, Oklahoma. The water line work includes 347 linear feet of 12-inch PVC pipe, 18 linear feet of 6- inch PVC pipe, two three-way fire hydrants and various valves, fittings, service connections and other water line appurtenances. The street improvements include 3,230 square yards of cold milling asphalt pavement, 170 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter, 87 square yards of 4 inch concrete sidewalk, driveway, concrete pavement and concrete base repairs, 317 Tons of Type S5 asphalt and 226 Tons of Type S6 asphalt. Project also includes traffic striping and construction signage and traffic control. A cashier's check, a certified check or a security bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder. Deposits will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Doc Notes: In order that the Owner may know to whom further information, addendums, and clarifications should be sent prior to the bid opening it is required that the plans and specifications shall be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk, 516 East Grand Avenue, Ponca City, Oklahoma, 74601 in order for a contractor to be eligible to bid on this project. Bids shall be made in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other bidding documents which are on file and available for examination at the Office of the City Clerk of Ponca City, Oklahoma. The information for Bidders, Forms of Bids, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications and Form of Bid Bond, Performance and Statutory Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the Office of the City Clerk of Ponca City, Oklahoma. The successful bidder shall submit Certification of Insurance for Public Liability and Workers Compensation in the amounts prescribed by Statute with the City of Ponca City named as additional insured. Bid date notes: All bids shall remain on file at least forty-eight (48) hours thereafter before a contract shall be made and entered into thereon. Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, before the time set for the opening of bids, as well as bids received after the time set for opening of bids, shall not be considered and will be returned unopened. All bids submitted must include the word "BID", the name of the bid item or project, and the time and date of the bid opening on the face of the sealed envelope. If any person who contemplates submitting a bid is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the drawings, specifications, or other proposed contract documents he may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request shall be responsible for its prompt delivery. Interpretation of the proposed contract documents will be made only by addendum. A copy of each addendum will be mailed or delivered to each person obtaining a set of contract documents from the Engineer. The City will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the proposed contract documents Where Vendor and Subcontractor Identification Questionnaires are included in the bid documents, each bidder shall submit the Questionnaire directly to the Engineer no later than 5:00 p.m. on the first working day following the bid opening. Failure to submit the questionnaire may render the bid unresponsive and not eligible for award.
