Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Columbus, Ohio. Design plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

As of September 16, 2025, an engineer has been selected, and this project is in the design phase. Design is expected to be completed mid 2028. It is anticipated bidding will commence in October 2028, with construction following in October 2028. Design firm information has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Columbus (hereinafter "City") is accepting bids for the North Bank Pavilion Renovation project, located at 311 W Long St, Columbus, OH 43215, the work for which consists of Interior improvements to HVAC systems and flooring, exterior removal of a fountain and installation of new landscaping, and other such work . The City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is engaged in developing a 7-mile former rail corridor in the Linden and Northland community into 58-acre linear park. This Request for Proposals seeks to further advance the design and construction plans to reclaim the neglected corridor into a linear park, including functional urban greenspace, nature, recreation, and a regionally significant trail offering connectivity to jobs, transit, commercial and cultural destinations, parks, schools, and neighborhoods. This project will be broken down into three separate phases that consist of: o Stage I - Planning, Site Master Planning, Preliminary & Conceptual Design o Stage II - Design Phase Services o Sage III - Construction/Project Closeout Services The responses to this RFP will be evaluated considering how the respondent proposes their approach to all three stages listed above for this project. CRPD will modify the Design Professional's contract during each stage when fees and contract terms will be negotiated. It may be determined that each Stage represented above may also be broken down into separate phases. If so, each Phase within each Stage will have a modified contract. Respondents will find a detailed expectation below in Section 2, titled, Scope of Services. The City anticipates issuing a notice to proceed on or about September 8, 2025. The contractor will not be allowed to mobilize to the site any sooner than December 21, 2025, and all work is to be complete by April 30, 2026. Questions Due Date: Jun 9th 2025, 5:00 PM EDT Questions pertaining to the drawings, plans, specifications, IFB, and/or other contract documents must be submitted in writing to the Department of Recreation & Parks by email to cmscannell@columbus.gov . No phone calls will be accepted. Questions as to the interpretation of the Request for Proposal shall be submitted in writing to the Project Manager Brad Westall at brwestall@columbus.gov. Questions pertaining to the drawings, plans, specifications, IFB, and/or other contract documents must be submitted in writing to the Department of Recreation & Parks by email to cmscannell@columbus.gov through May 21, 2025 at 5 PM. No phone calls will be accepted. This proposal submitted by the consultant to the City of Columbus will be accepted or rejected within a period of 180 days from proposal due date. The City reserves the right to waive technicalities, and to request new proposals (rebid) on the required material. Each invitation for Bids, Request for Statements of Qualifications, and Request for Proposals issued by the City shall state that the Bid or Request may be cancelled and that any bid or proposal may be rejected in whole or in part when it is for good cause and in the best interests of the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. CRPD anticipates a construction cost for these improvements to be approximately $25-30M. This project is anticipated to be delivered using design-bid-build. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
