Reference Number 0000398234 Bid Intent Not Available The City of Knoxville is seeking bids from qualified and responsible firms to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials, and the performance of all work necessary for the decommissioning and removal of the current irrigation pump station and the manufacture and installation of a new prefabricated vertical turbine pump station at the Knoxville Municipal Golf Course located at 3925 Schaad Rd, Knoxville, TN 37921. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: o Decommissioning and complete removal of the existing irrigation pump system. o Manufacturing, furnishing, and installing a fully assembled prefabricated VFD (variable frequency drive) pumping station manufactured by Rain Bird Corporation, or an approved equivalent, including all associated equipment required for proper operation as detailed in this ITB. o Coordination of all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing connections necessary for full functionality. o Ensuring integration of the new system with existing golf course irrigation infrastructure. o The golf course must remain open at all times and Contractor must maintain safe access for carts and pedestrians. o Contractor is responsible for all permits required by City of Knoxville and/or State of Tennessee to complete this project. Contractor is responsible for collection of all permit closeout documentation as required by licensing agencies and turn over the documentation to the City's project manager. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all final permit closeout documentation from all required permitting agencies as required. o A work schedule showing the approximate dates that the various items of work will begin and end shall be submitted by Contractor to the Owner prior to commencing any work. o The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating with all utilities for shutdown of services prior to demolition and re-establishing services upon completion; contacting and coordinating with the Knoxville Utility Board for utility marking; for repairing any utilities damaged during the course of the construction to a suitable working condition. o Contractor shall take all necessary measures to protect the existing pump housing, concrete slab, and irrigation system during the installation of the new pump station. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of protective coverings, barriers, and careful handling of existing components. Contractor shall be liable for any damage to the existing pump housing, concrete slab, and irrigation system that occurs during the installation process. The Contractor shall promptly repair or replace any damaged components at their own expense and to the satisfaction of the Owner.
