The scope of work includes the Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to cut down and cleanup trees, brush and vegetation within the limits shown and described in the Contract Drawings and per the Specifications at the following location: 1. Site No. 1 - This work involves tree clearing along MVWA transmission main ROWs. Tree clearing will include felling of trees marked with blue spray paint within the pipe Right-of-way and as noted/shown in the Contract Documents; clearing of vegetation, brush, etc.; removal or cleanup of logs; chipping of branches, limbs, and small trees/vegetation; chipping of stumps to grade; protection of structures, utilities, traffic, etc.; and site cleanup. 2. Site No. 2 - This work involves tree clearing along MVWA transmission main ROWs. Tree clearing will include felling of trees marked with blue spray paint within the pipe Right-of-way and as noted/shown in the Contract Documents; clearing of vegetation, brush, etc.; removal or cleanup of logs; chipping of branches, limbs, and small trees, vegetation; chipping of stumps to grade; protection of structures, utilities, etc.; and site cleanup. 3. Site No. 3 - This work involves tree clearing at MVWA owned property - 724 Pleasant Street. Tree clearing will include felling of approximately 7 small trees (~2" diameter) on MVWA property; chipping of tree trunks, branches, and limbs; chipping of stumps to grade; protection of structures and utilities; and site cleanup. 4. Site No. 4 - This work involves tree clearing at MVWA owned property between Marley Place and NYS Route 12B - Clinton Road. Tree clearing will include felling of trees marked with blue spray paint on MVWA property and as noted/shown in the Contract documents; clearing of vegetation, brush, etc.; removal or cleanup of logs, chipping of branches, limbs, and small trees/vegetation; chipping of stumps to grade; protection of structures, utilities, traffic, etc.; and site cleanup. 5. Site No. 5 - This work involves tree clearing along MVWA watermain ROW. Tree clearing will include felling of small trees marked with blue spray paint within the pipe Right-of-way and as noted/shown in the Contract Documents; clearing of vegetation, brush, etc.; chipping of tree trunks, branches, and limbs; chipping of stumps to grade; protection of structures, utilities, traffic, etc.; and site cleanup. 6. This work will be bid and paid on a lump sum basis as described further in these contract documents and the Bid Form. Question Deadline 10/06/2025 Any inquiries regarding details in specifications must be directed in writing to Kristofer Downes, Assistant Engineer, of the MVWA at kdownes@mvwa.us. No response will be given to inquiries received within three (3) business days of the bid date. Proposals shall be submitted only on the forms contained herein and shall include a five percent (5%) bid security in a form described and shall be received only from persons who obtain Bid Documents from the MVWA and are duly registered on the list of bidders. The MVWA reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any and all bids. The MVWA may reject any bid if in its judgment the resources, financial standing, or experience of the bidder justifies such rejection in view of the work to be performed. The Board reserves the right to revise or amend the bidding documents prior to the date set for opening the bids.
