Bids shall be submitted for: Lift Station F Rehabilitation Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted. Give special attention to and comply with project insurance and bonding requirements. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of at least five percent of the amount bid, drawn payable to the Sugar Loaf Township as security for the proper execution of the contract. Bids from partnerships or joint ventures will not be acceptable. The OWNER reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bids should it consider same to be in the best interest of the OWNER. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after date of receiving and opening bids. The Illinois Dept. of Labor prevailing wages shall apply to the project, and hiring preference shall be given to the Illinois citizens. The Sugar Loaf Township is an equal opportunity employer. Major Bidding Requirements: CDBG funds are a part of Section 3 program that is a provision of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act of 1968. Participation of Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) is required by Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Participation is determined at fifteen percent (15%). This project must comply with Buy America, Build America (BABA) Act, 41 USC 8301.
