This project consists of extending an existing storm sewer culvert located at 358 Estate Avenue. The work includes mobilization, clearing and grubbing, borrow excavation, installation of Class II rip-rap, installation of approximately 168 linear feet of new 42" HDPE pipe, installation of a new junction box, installation of a new junction box with area inlet, installation of a new 42" headwall, removal of an existing 36" RCP headwall, and solid sod stabilization. Working hours for the project shall generally be between 7:00AM to 5:00PM Sunday through Saturday, and the site shall be left in a safe and secure condition whenever the contractor is not actively working. Ingress and egress shall be maintained to residences at all times. The Contractor is advised that the trees marked with green and white flagging will be removed in advance of this work and their removal WILL NOT be part of this project. The stumps and root balls of these trees will remain and will need to be removed by the Contractor, if necessary, to complete the project in accordance with the construction drawings. The Contractor will be responsible for the removal of all other trees, including stumps and root balls, within the limits of the construction and as necessary to complete the work. Question Deadline 09/23/2025 Every request for an interpretation shall be made in writing, addressed, and forwarded to the City Manager of the City of Auburn, Alabama. All requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the date and time of the bid opening. The City is requesting bid prices to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to extend an existing culvert located at 358 Estate Avenue within the City of Auburn. Please note, NIGP commodity codes are required for vendors to receive bid notifications. The City is requesting bid prices to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to extend an existing culvert located. The contractor's license must include all necessary classifications to complete the work. Award of the contract, if to be awarded, will be made within thirty (30) calendar days after opening of bids to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with the requirements of the invitation to bid. Should no award be made within the thirty (30) days, all proposals will be rejected unless the successful bidder agrees in writing to a stipulated extension in the time limit for award. The successful bidder will be notified by letter, mailed to the address shown on his proposal, that his bid has been accepted and that he has been awarded the contract. The successful bidder is responsible for acquiring the appropriate business licenses and permits to conduct work with the City of Auburn. In addition to the business license and permit requirements, the bidder is required to remit all applicable sales and use tax, occupational license fees, and contractors/subcontractors license fee in accordance with City ordinances and codes. The City of Auburn will process only one invoice per month for partial payment to the contractor.
