Renovation of a water / sewer project in Webster, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

In general, this work consists of: Installation of temporary sound walls including supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and maintenance; around project site designed to withstand suitable wind loads and sealed by a qualified professional engineer licensed in the state of Texas. Surface preparation of the interior surfaces of the Water Plant No. 3 Ground Storage Tank No. 1, including abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness, and removal and surface preparation of the air vents; Coating of the wet interior surfaces including the wet interior piping, ladder, air vents, and dehumidification. Surface preparation of the exterior surfaces of the Water Plant No. 3 Ground Storage Tank No. 1 including abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness and 100 percent containment along with air quality monitoring if necessary; Coating of the exterior surfaces including the riser pipe and roof hatch access manways, the air vents, a non-skid coating on the roof of the tank, containment, and dehumidification. Replacement of Water Plant No. 3 Ground Storage Tank No. 1's roof including roof plates, rafters, rafter clips, sidewall attachment areas, center halo, roof support system, fill line, fill line diffusers, attachment brackets, centered 30-inch T-vent and six passive roof vents (6) placed mid span at equal intervals and a roof hatch above the interior ladder including any and all appurtenances and the application of a NSF 61 epoxy protective coating system. Contractor to install, maintain, and remove any temporary structural support mechanisms. Removal and replacement of the existing interior overflow pipe, drain valve and overflow flap to exterior of tank including interior and exterior coating with pipe supports, fittings, and any appurtenances. Removal and replacement of exterior 30-inch welded steel overflow pipe including interior and exterior coating with drain valve and overflow flap as directed by engineer. Removal and replacement of overflow structure and installation of new additional roof hatch above overflow structure and handrail system, including all appurtenances and interior and exterior coating. Roof hatch and handrail system must follow all OSHA and TCEQ requirements. Removal and replacement of all remaining welded steel piping on the exterior and interior of tank including two 8-inch fill lines, 12-inch fill line, 12-inch equalizer line, 16-inch suction lines, injection point piping, fill line diffusers, 3-inch chemical feed lines, and transmitters including all bends, fittings, expansion couplings, isolation kits and interior and exterior coating. Removal of two 8-inch and two 12-inch existing gate valves and replacement with 8-inch and 12-inch new gate valves on fill line including exterior coating. Removal of existing 8-inch gate valve and flap on drain line and replacement with a new 8-inch gate valve and flap including exterior coating. Removal of existing 6-inch drain line, gate valve and plug. Fill pitting of damaged areas on interior of Ground Storage Tank No. 1 with 100% epoxy solids. Weld over damaged areas using 6-inch diameter steel patches as required. Removal and replacement of interior ladder, including all appurtenances. The interior ladder must follow all OSHA and TCEQ requirements and regulations. Removal and replacement of miscellaneous items for 2-million-gallon Ground Storage Tank No. 1 of nuts and bolts for manways, support brackets, suction line, signage, and foundation sealant around base of ground storage tank prior to recoating. Surface preparation and coating of interior and exterior ladders, roof handrails, roof hatches, and all aboveground yard piping and nuts and bolts for manways. Weld chine areas where corroded as required.
