Bridge Repair on SR 22 (Bridge No. 0.1) over I-20, known as State Project No. STBG-0024-01(035) / 109985301 in Hinds County. Project Completion : November 28, 2025 For Federal Aid Projects the attention of bidders is directed to the contract provisions governing selection and employment of labor contained in the bid proposal. Minimum wage rates for Federal Aid Projects have been predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and are subject to Public Law 87-581, Work Hours Act of 1962, as set forth in the contract provisions. Unless otherwise set out in the bid proposal, all other projects are subject to the predetermined minimum wage rate set by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Fair Labor Standards Act. When a DBE goal is contained in the contract, the award will be contingent upon the Contractor satisfying the DBE requirements. Bid bond, signed or countersigned by a Mississippi Resident Agent or qualified non-resident agent, with Power of Attorney attached or on file with the Contract Administration Engineer of the Department, a Cashier's Check or Certified Check for five (5%) percent of bid, payable to State of Mississippi, must accompany each proposal. The attention of bidders is directed to the provisions of Subsection 102.07 pertaining to irregular proposals and rejection of bids. MSDOT - Call 01 - Bridge Repair on SR 22 This work shall consist of constructing and installing routine bridge repair items including General Epoxy Repair, Bi-directional or Uni-directional Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Wrap, Cap Cleaning, Bearing Replacements, Epoxy Injection, and Encapsulated Field Painting in accordance with the details on the plans, and the requirements set out herein. Minor changes in detail of design or construction procedure may be authorized by the Director of Structures, State Bridge Engineer provided such changes will not be cause for contract price adjustment. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to protect the existing structure from damage which might occur during construction. The Contractor shall replace or repair, as directed by the Engineer, any structures damaged by the Contractor during the life of the contract. No payment will be made for replacement or repair of damaged items. All details are based on the dimensions shown on the original plans for the existing structure. The Contractor shall be responsible for adjusting the elements of the new construction to ensure a proper fit with the existing structure. The Contractor shall verify all dimensions of the existing structure prior to beginning work. During construction, care shall be exercised to ensure that no debris falls into the crossing below the structure. All debris, including any material that has accumulated on the bridge deck or caps,shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed from the construction site and disposed of properly. At the Contractor's request, Bridge Division will provide a complete set of As-Built plans for the existing bridge.
