Renovation of a municipal facility in Frederick, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work is located at the following location: 1920 Rosemont Avenue, Frederick Maryland 21702 Work of the Citizens HVAC Equipment Upgrades project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to the work as noted below. Electrical Systems: The electrical scope of work is mainly to provide electrical work associated with the replacement of mechanical equipment. The existing electrical distribution system is to remain. The majority of the existing circuit breakers serving the existing mechanical equipment will require replacement to support proposed new mechanical equipment. Replace associated branch circuit and feeder wiring, disconnecting means, fuses and controllers. Provide new overcurrent devices in the existing switchboard and distribution panels. Scope of work also includes performing power system study to establish and confirm adequate equipment ratings and arc flash boundaries. Provide interface and modification to existing fire alarm system to accommodate additional devices associated with the HVAC system upgrade. HVAC Systems: The scope of work includes removal and replacement of packaged rooftop units, removal and replacement of makeup air units, removal and replacement of rooftop exhaust fans, and removal and replacement of hot water air terminal units. Scope includes ductwork, controls and balancing associated with replacement of all equipment, as well as additional ductwork scope within the building. Scope of work includes air balancing of entire systems associated with replaced equipment along with commissioning of all equipment. Plumbing System: The scope of work includes gas piping and condensate piping associated with replaced rooftop units and makeup air units. The Plans and Specifications are intended to cover a complete project, including Add Alternate 1. It should be distinctly understood that failure to mention any work that would be required to complete the project shall not relieve the Contractor of its responsibility to perform such work. Additionally, this Contractor shall provide oversite and coordination with companies hired directly by the Owner. Frederick County will obtain the required Building Permit for the project. It shall be the successful contractor s responsibility to provide all other applicable permits.
