The current project plan is to maximize the use of the existing 22-acre Public Works site at 1550 S. College St. by renovating and replacing existing facilities. More specifically, it is intended that the Public Works South Campus would be expanded to accommodate approximately 120 additional persons, 200 vehicles, and other materials needed to support critical city infrastructure and services, including water, sewer, parks, tra c signals, signs, and roadway maintenance. Planned improvements are anticipated to include the main building for crews, equipment and material storage areas, fueling center, employee parking, and other spaces to support Public Works operations. As of May 18, 2026, the project is currently under construction. Information regarding design firm, construction manager, and general contractor has not been released. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified.
