Description

Renovation of a military facility in Ketchikan, Alaska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

This project involves the removal of an existing oil-fired boiler system and installation of a propane heating system at the Commanding Officer's Quarters at USCG Base Ketchikan, Alaska. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to complete the installation using Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE), which includes a 500-gallon propane tank, Rinnai I-Series Combination Boiler, heating kits, temperature controllers, and propane line. Tasks include reducing heating zones, removing the oil tank and boiler, installing hookups for the propane tank, inspecting and replacing damaged waterlines in the crawl space, seismically strapping all components, supplying warranties and manuals, and properly disposing of removed equipment and materials. All contractor-supplied items must be approved by the equipment manufacturer and the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR).
