General Requirements - Bidder Prequalification/Preregistration Required - Bid Deposit Required - Certified Payroll - Contractors License Required - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Award Requirements - All or None Award Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % The Work to be done under this Contract and in accordance with these Specifications consists of furnishing of plant equipment, superintendents, labor, skill, material, equipment and all other items necessary for construction of the Thurton Place Sewer Design Project, Contract No. XXX, located at Thurton Place in Yonkers, New York. The Contractor shall perform all Work required for such construction in accordance with the Contract Documents and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract, complete and ready for use. B. The principal features of the Work to be performed and equipment to be provided for this Project under the Contract include: 1. General Construction Contract a. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic. Homeowner access to driveways must be maintained at all times b. Erosion and Sediment Control features. c. Saw cut trench, excavation. d. Approximately 850 LF of new 8" dia. sanitary sewer and associated manholes along Thurton Place from Winfred Avenue including connecting to the existing Manhole on Hildreth Place N. Testing as shown and specified. e. Laterals are not included in this project. Capped wyes shall be provided for future services. f. Trench backfill, compaction, and binder course. g. Curb to curb milling and pavement top course ash shown. h. Site restoration. i. Coordination with the Westchester County Department of Health for Approval of Completed WorksRemoval of Erosion and Sediment Control features. k. Completing As-Built Drawings and submitting As-Built Drawing/Survey to the Engineer and Owner for approval. The foregoing is a general description only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the Work to be performed for this Project. The Contractor will be required to mobilize to a location within thirty (30) working days of notification by the City of Yonkers. The Contractor must confirm with the City of Yonkers Engineering Department a minimum of fortyeight (48) hours prior to commencing work at each location in regards to this contract.
