Question Deadline 10/08/2025 Any inquiries, suggestions or requests concerning interpretation, clarification or additional information pertaining to the solicitation shall be made in writing, submitted, and received at least eight (8) calendar days prior to the date when responses are due; to the City of Sarasota Purchasing Division and the online solicitation system. A. Work in this Section includes all labor, material, equipment, testing, tax, overhead, and profit necessary to install, construct, and place into service the items described in this Section to provide a complete and functional system ready for use by the City. B. The Contractor shall obtain Substantial Completion within 210 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with the Final Completion of all Work within the Contract Time of 240 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. This shall include all work, except warranty items, in accordance with the Contract Documents. C. The Contractor shall commence Work under this Contract on or before 5 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. D. The Contractor shall pay liquidated damages of $1,699.00 for each consecutive calendar day completion of the Work is delayed beyond substantial completion. E. The Work generally includes the conversion of the existing dry well / wet well Lift Station to a submersible wet well Lift Station with a new hardened generator and controls structure, new gravity sewer mains, sewer manholes, forcemain pipe, electrical and instrumentation systems. Work items include, but are not limited to providing all labor, materials, equipment to perform and complete the following 1. Maintenance of wastewater flow and bypass pumping during construction. 2. Erosion and sediment control. 3. Maintenance of traffic. 4. Surveying for construction staking and layout. 5. Demolition and removal from the site of portions of roadway, existing structures, landscaping, and pipelines. 6. Coordination with other agencies, utility providers, and the public. 7. Installation of new gravity sewer pipe, manholes, and forcemain pipe. 8. Rehabilitation of existing manholes. 9. Construction of the new hardened generator and controls structure. 10. Improvements to the existing dry well structure for conversion to a wetwell. 11. Installation of all owner supplied equipment. 12. Installation of new pumps, base elbows, discharge pipes, valves, hatches. 13. Installation of new primary electrical service and coordination with FP&L to provide a new 480V 3 Phase electrical service to the station. 14. Installation of new electrical equipment, electrical conduit, and conductors. 15. Installation and termination of new instrumentation devices and circuits including level, flow, pressure, intrusion, low/high well alarms. 16. Relocation of Lift Station 2A controls into the hardened generator and controls structure. 17. Miscellaneous site work including grading, sodding, landscaping, tree protection, concrete slabs, pipe bollards, and asphalt paving restoration.
