As of October 13, 2025, project was awarded to Con-Struct, Inc., but awarded amount is not available. The Iowa Department of Administrative Services will be receiving bids for site demolition, exterior improvements, earthwork, and utilities for an engineered post frame structure and housing production site at the Newton Correctional Facility (NCF), Iowa Prison Industries (IPI), Homes For Iowa (HFI) Facility Production .HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and special construction (BP-01 and BP-03) have previously been awarded for this project. The Iowa Department of Administrative Services anticipates construction to begin on October 20, 2025 and end on April 30, 2026. The Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or a certified check drawn upon a solvent bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America. Bidders must comply with all affirmative action/equal employment opportunity provisions of the State of Iowa and the Federal Government. This project is exempt from Iowa Sales Tax. Davis Bacon Wages will not apply to this project.
