Furnishing and installation of approximately 3,612 linear feet of 42-inch sanitary sewer line, 66 linear feet of 24-inch sanitary sewer line, 18 linear feet of 27-inch sanitary sewer line, 967 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer line, 730 linear feet of 8-inch water line with appurtenances, and manholes. Georgetown Municipal Water and Sewer Service (GMWSS) is accepting sealed bids for the construction of the Desha Estates and Water Street Trunk Sewer Project, which includes the furnishing of labor and materials and performing all work as set forth by the Advertisement, General Conditions, Specifications, and/or Drawings prepared by Bell Engineering. GMWSS reserves the right to waive any bidding informalities and to reject any or all bids, for any reason. The right is reserved by the Owner, in the exercise of its sole judgment to reject any or all Bids, and to re-advertise and award the Contract in the regular manner or to waive any informalities, irregularities, mistakes, errors, or omissions in any Bid received and to accept any Bid deemed to be responsive to this invitation and favorable to interests of the Owner. This Project is not subject to federal wage and hour provisions. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Georgetown Municipal Water and Sewer Services in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid shall accompany the Bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the date bids are opened. The attention of all contractors is called to the fact that any contract awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is expected to be funded in part by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and local funding. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
