Reference Number 0000302713 Hesperus Fellowship Community of Ontario, a provider of social and affordable housing operating a seniors affordable housing residence in Vaughan, Ontario, invites submissions for the pre-qualification of General Contractors interested in the execution of building retrofits at Hesperus East, 1 Hesperus Rd., in Vaughan, Ontario. Hesperus East is a two-storey, 9,900 sq. ft., wood and stucco clad irregular shaped building built in 1986. There are 19 apartments consisting of studio units, onebedroom units, and two-bedroom units. Hesperus East is connected to Hesperus West which is a three-storey brick and stucco clad seniors' apartment building built in 2011. The work for this Project will be at Hesperus East only The summarized project will consist of the following: Removal of existing stucco and wood siding and replace with EIFS cladding system. Removal of basement gypsum wall board to install 4" insulation and reinstate the gypsum wall board. Add additonal blown in insulation to the existing attic. Replacement of all exterior windows and doors. Replace the balcony roof over South entrance vestibule. Install in suite ERV units and heat pumps/fan coil units. Replace electrical panels in suite. Lighting retrofit throughout, new fixtures in corridors, common areas, utility rooms and storage rooms. New lamps (bulbs) in suites. Replace range hoods. Replace 3 DHW heaters to heat pump units. Insulate sanitary vent pipes. Add 2 HRV units for corridors. General liability insurance of $5 million per occurrence is to include $2,000,000 for non-owned company vehicles. Automobile insurance per statutory requirements in Ontario for company owned vehicles with a third-party liability limit of not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence. A letter from a bonding company confirming the suretys relationship with the Respondent and their willingness to provide bonding for a project with a three million dollars ($3,000,000) value is required (50% Labour and Material, 50% Performance).
