The work to be done shall consist of the installation of bituminous concrete materials, reclaim and milling operations in accordance with Connecticut Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads, Bridges and Incidental Construction, Form 819, latest revision, all related sections. The work described above includes furnishing, installing, and incorporating all materials and equipment into the project as well as performing or providing all labor, supervision, equipment, and services complete in place unless otherwise noted within the bid documents. The Town of Winchester hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and that they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, in consideration for this award. All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed, and the Contractor shall employ, as far as possible, such methods and means in the carrying out of this work as will not cause interruption or interference with any other contractor.
