All Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of the current Contractor's Licensing Act of Tennessee and shall be thoroughly familiar with all the provisions of said Act. All Bidders must comply with Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, in particular Chapter 6 regarding preparation of the Bid Envelope. Each contractor shall submit his bid in accordance with the requirements of the licensing act. Refer to bidding documents for complete bidding instructions. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid. The bond is required as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into. A performance bond and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of 100% of contract sum, issued by a bonding company licensed in the State of Tennessee and acceptable to Owner, will be required of successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of work under the contract (see Supplement to General Conditions of the Contract). In the event the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded fails to execute a satisfactory contract and bond, they shall be eliminated and shall forfeit their bid bond, and shall be liable for any loss occasioned to the Owner because of such failure. SCOPE OF WORK A. HVAC Replacements under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Removal of existing HVAC water source heat pump units and associated controls at locations shown on mechanical plans. 2. Installation of new water source heat pump units at locations indicated on mechanical plans. 3. Installation of new HVAC ductwork and air devices at locations indicated on mechanical plans. 4. Servicing of existing exhaust fans. 5. Removal of existing self-contained HVAC unit serving Med Room and removal of associated ductwork and power. Installation of new heat pump unit, ductwork and piping at Med Room as shown on mechanical plans. 6. Cleaning and scoping existing condensate hub drains as described on mechanical plans. 7. Installation of new power service at HVAC replacements at locations indicated on electrical plans. 8. Removal and re-installation of exiting ceiling tiles and grid as required to remove/install HVAC equipment, piping, ductwork and power. 9. Add Alternate No. 1: Removal of existing rooftop Outside Air Unit (OAU) and installation of new rooftop OAU including new curb. B. .At the conclusion of work, any existing construction damaged during the course of renovation operations, including landscaping, lawn, sidewalks, curbs, pavement and the existing building components shall be restored to preconstruction conditions.
