Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Saratoga Springs, New York. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Project work includes removal of approximately 82 trees of varying diameter. New work includes a new parking lot with EV charging stations to the south of the Lincoln Bathhouse, a new parking lot on the northwest side of the Lincoln Bathhouse, expanded parking for the Washington Bathhouse, and expanded parking to the west of the Lincoln Bathhouse to accommodate the Regional Maintenance Shop. A total of 5 EV charging stations (10 EV charging ports) are proposed. Proposed work also includes new walking paths and sidewalks to better connect the new parking lots as well as pedestrian connections from Route 9 to the Lincoln Bathhouse and into the main park. There will also be a new vehicular entrance off the Avenue of the Pines to reduce conflicts between the maintenance entrance and the patron entrance. A new connector road will be constructed between the front of the Lincoln Bathhouse and the Washington Bathhouse to eliminate vehicular and pedestrian conflicts. New landscaping, site lighting and orientation signage will be installed throughout the area as well.. Stormwater from the new entrance road and parking lot will be directed to new dry wells by means of swales and catch basins. Many of the trees to be removed are non-native. This includes Norway maples and Norway spruce. Nineteen red pines along the Avenue of the Pines will also be removed. As of September 22, 2025, this project is in the conceptual phase.
