Site work for a water / sewer project in La Vernia, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project generally consists of a base bid for 520 L.F.of 12" water line and 240 L.F. of 8" water line, including a bore of US 87. Anadditional 2,340 L.F. of 12" water line will be included in the bid as an additiveat Owner's option. The water lines will be installed within easements except forthe highway bore. The project will also include gate valves, restraints, firehydrants, fittings, meter tie-ins, driveway crossings and associated appurtenancesalong US Hwy 87 near FM 1346. Each bidder shall also include the time when he couldbegin work and the number of days needed to complete the project as part of hisbid. A Bid Bond in theamount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety registered with the U.S.Treasury shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check payable to the City ofLa Vernia may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of La Vernia reservesthe right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of La Vernia for a period not to exceed thirty (30)days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids andinvestigating the bidders' qualifications prior to the contract award.
