Taxiway E Extension at Cecil Airport and Spaceport Questions regarding this proposal must be received by 5:00 PM (local time), Friday, October 3, 2025 for consideration. JAA has established a SBE program goal of 7%, which shall be considered as one of several specified selection criteria. Respondents are encouraged to submit questions in advance of the meeting to JAA's Procurement Department, Attn: Samantha Smid. Requests MUST be transmitted via email to samantha.smid@flyjacksonville.com The original construction for Taxiway E/E1 at Cecil Airport was completed in 2015. Taxiway E1, constructed off the end of Runway 18L, extends to the east approximately 1,100 feet. Taxiway E was constructed to the north approximately 3,000 feet from the end of Taxiway E1. These taxiways were constructed to provide airfield access for future aviation-related development on the east side of the airport. Since the completion of these taxiways, construction has been completed on most of the airfield-accessible development sites. The Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) intends to extend Taxiway E1 further to the east (exact length to be determined) to provide airfield access to more of the east airfield development sites.
