The project is expected to be awarded in November 2025.** The City of Columbia is seeking sealed bids from qualified companies for a complete remodel of an existing out-door pool that is 177,000 gallons as well as replacement of equipment and removal of existing equipment in indoor lap pool. Install new bull nosed limestone coping to meet all codes, including but not limited to installing rope and caulking to City Standards. 2-year labor and materials warranty required on workmanship and materials. 2. Remove all tiles, clean area and dispose of tile off site at your cost and location. Install new 6"x 6" standard pool tile within industry standards with grout and thin set mortar designed for the application. 2- year labor and materials warranty required. 3.Remove all plaster from existing pool. The pool was built in the 1970's and has many layers of plaster in place. Clean all plaster off down to gunite. All materials removed must be disposed of offsite and at your cost. Replace tile cross's and swim lanes as necessary. Replace plaster with Pebble Sheen (color to be determined). Installer must be certified by the manufacturer. 5-year workmanship and materials warranty required. 4. Complete the installation of items 1 - 12 of this project by April 15, 2026. 5. Item 13 will start after May 25, 2026, and must be completed by June 25, 2026. Acceptance of Bids: The City of Columbia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informal technicalities or defects, the scope and nature of which it shall be the sole judge, in any bid, insofar as such technicality or defects do not legally, materially or substantially change such bid. The said City, unless otherwise specified by the bidder, reserves the right to accept any item on bid. If the bidder fails to state the time within which a bid must be accepted, it is understood and agreed that said City shall have ninety (90) days from bid opening date in which to accept bid. The City reserves the right to cancel an accepted bid or contract in whole or in part due to nonperformance or defective products.
