Cooling Tower MCC Room HVAC Upgrades at Whelan Energy Center, Unit 2, Public Power Generation Agency, Hastings, Nebraska. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check on a solvent U.S. commercial bank, or a bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. Such check or bid bond shall be contained in a separate envelope attached to bidder's proposal. All proposal and bid bonds shall have original signatures. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the sum of the full amount of the Contract within ten (10) days of the date of award. No additional time will be allowed the Contractor for providing the Performance Bond. The PPGA reserves the right to accept the bid which best suits its needs whether the price is the lowest or not, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informalities. General. PPGA is accepting bids for the Cooling Tower MCC Room HVAC upgrade work at Whelan Energy Center, 4520 East South Street in Hastings, Nebraska. The Bidder is highly encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a bid. The Bidder shall inform their self of all conditions and factors which would affect the execution of the work. No claims for financial compensation or time extension, based on the lack of such prior information (or its effect on the cost of the work) will be permitted by the Owner. This project can be started anytime after award, but must be completed by May 1 st , 2026. Scope. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and freight necessary to complete the mechanical scope of work, as shown on the drawings and specifications, in the allotted time frame. Additionally, the contractor shall: o Install Owner supplied Air Conditioning Unit and Remote operation box o Install foundation and supporting structural steel o Alter east wall of building to permit duct work installation o Provide all wiring for power, incidental control wiring, and instrumentation wiring, including: o All 480VAC and 120VAC work, including installation and relocation as shown on the drawings o Install new duct smoke detector and coordinate with fire alarm system company o 24VDC control conduits and wiring between A/C Unit, Remote Panel, and DCS o Remove and replace existing conduits, disconnects, junction boxes, and wires as specified o Conduits as necessary for mechanical contractor's incidental control wiring o Install fans o Submittals and other requirements as required by HVAC technical specifications If questions arise during the bidding process regarding the meaning of any portion of the contract documents, the prospective bidder shall submit the questions to the Engineerfor clarification. B. Any definitive interpretation or clarification of the contract documents will be published by addenda, properly issued to each person holding documents, prior to the bid date. C. Verbal interpretation or explanation not issued in the form of an addendum shall not be considered part of the bidding documents. D. When submitting questions for clarification, adequate time for issuance and delivery of addenda must be allowed. E. The Engineershall be the sole judge regarding interpretations of conflicts within contract documents.
