October 10,2025 EOD Deadline for requests for clarifications/questions General Project Description The City of Waynesboro (City) ("Client") is seeking a contractor ("Contractor" or "Bidder") to provide ~2.75 miles of new natural surface trail construction at Sunset Park in Waynesboro, Virginia. This project encompasses rugged terrain in a heavily wooded section of the park. Project construction will utilize both mechanized equipment and hand work. Trails will be shared-use (hiking/biking) and optimized for bicycles. Due to the technical nature of the trail construction and sensitivity of the natural environment, The City places a high priority on contractor qualifications and performance history. Although this procurement is conducted via competitive sealed bidding, the City intends to thoroughly review bidder qualifications prior to award. The full trail system described in this IFB is intended to be constructed by a single contractor under one contract.
