Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Henrietta, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Henrietta Veterans Memorial Park Bandshell Project, all to conform with construction The Town of Henrietta reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Scope:- A.The project will generally consist of: The construction of a new 50'-0" by 85'-0" open steel framed bandshell located within Veterans Memorial Park. The steel structure will have ten steel columns supporting five gabled open web steel trusses and will be approximately twenty-two feet high near the stage area and slope to approximately thirty feet in height on the open end of the amphitheater. The metal roof deck structure will be supported by purlins framed on top of the gable steel trusses. The project also involves the installation of the concrete foundations, structure, and all other work necessary to complete the bandshell construction. No mechanical, plumbing, or electrical work is included in this contract and the site work will be performed by the Town. B. All existing iron pins for property corners shall be protected during construction. All property corners disturbed by the Contractor shall be replaced at his expense. C. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the demolition, removal, and disposal of existing excavated materials. The final restoration including subbase grading, topsoil and seeding shall be completed by the TOWN. D. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for obtaining a dumpsite for disposal of any construction debris. E. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to call the U.C.C. at 1-800-962- 7962 to obtain a utility stakeout before excavation begins. Also contact utilities not included in the U.C.C. F. The Contractor shall comply with the New York State Industrial Code, Rule 23, Subpart 23-4 "Excavation Operations" to provide safe excavating practices and procedures. G. Notify the Town of Henrietta Engineering Department 48 hours before work commences. H. The Contractor shall maintain and provide one safe passageway for residents or public through the work area at all times. I. The Contractor shall restore all properties affected by the work to their original condition to the greatest extent possible. J. Where required, the CONTRACTOR shall provide and install all suitable signs, barricades, and other protective devices for maintenance and protection of traffic and pedestrians for the proposed work, according to the NYSDOT Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and Section 619 of the NYSDOT Specifications. K. The Contractor shall ensure that the work area is adequately secured with temporary fence and other safety devices whenever work is unattended in order to protect the public. M. If the Contractor needs to repair any items such as road sections, curbs, sidewalks, signs, and other items as necessary to perform his work, upon project completion, all items shall be reinstalled or replaced at the discretion of the Town Engineering Department. N. The Contractor shall prevent any soil erosion from leaving the work area. This is to be accomplished by proper installation and maintenance of erosion control structures. O. Existing water main valves shall only be operated by the Monroe County Water Authority Personnel. P. The Contractor shall notify of any resident 24 hours minimum prior to closing driveway access. Q. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing temporary protection of the existing utilities during construction as indicated in the Contract Drawings. The cost of providing temporary protection of the utilities shall be paid for by the Contractor; all work shall be coordinated with the Town of Henrietta. R. Any trees damaged by the Contractor during construction shall be replaced by the Contractor at his expense. S. The Contractor shall photograph/videotape the site prior to construction. T. All work under this Contract shall meet the approval of the Owner. Bid(5%), Performance(100%), Payment(100%), Maintenance(10%), Certified Check substantially completed on or before December 15, 2025 with final restoration occurring on or before December 22, 2025. Q/A :- All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineering Department. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by OWNER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by OWNER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
