Renovation of a fire / police facility in Apex, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,179-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility.
The Town will post written responses to the RFIs received on the bid project site. Responses shall be posted no later than 5:00pm, Thursday, October 9, 2025. Description: Replace existing (6) gas furnaces and condensing units with new air handler and VAV terminals. Connect to existing air distribution system as required. Provide VAV terminals with electric heat. Provide duct heater for preheat. Connect all new equipment to existing Desigo build automation system by Siemens. Existing 100 KW generator to remain. Connect existing controls to existing generator. Controls to shut down electric heat of VAV terminals when generator is operational. Provide 15 tons of temporary conditioning and heat during construction. Provide temporary 150 KW generator during construction. Duct detector added to fire alarm. [ALTERNATE, IF ACCEPTED] Provide New 150KW Generator Value: $250,000 to $500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
