The MSD of New Durham Township is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Snow Removal Services at Westville Schools in Westville, IN. for the school year 2025-2026. A) Prior meeting with the Maintenance Coordinator is necessary before service begins to discuss the layout of the property. B) The lots are to be plowed when snow accumulates at 2 inches or higher by 6 am. M -- F. C) Salt shall be applied to all District owned parking lots and grounds, all entrance and exit avenues to District owned parking lots, in sufficient quantities to melt any frozen precipitation, when: 1) Slippery, and/or icy conditions warrant. 2) After any type of ice storm. 3) Any accumulation of ice or snow under a previous agreed upon amount. 4) At the request of the Maintenance Coordinator, or Superintendent of Schools. D) If the District has to supply services and/or contract to another vendor, the difference in cost will be charged back to the vendor under contract. E) Stacking of excess snow will be permitted only in areas specified by the Superintendent or Maintenance Coordinator. F) Salt utilized to treat paved and sidewalk areas should be Pre-watered Treated Salt that is effective to 0 degrees and below (i.e. Snow Slicer, Cleer Lane) Bid is for clearing and salting of parking areas, driveways, entry ways, and all sidewalks on school property, including Pre School.
